From the other side of Tunnel Mountain, looking out over the valley between Banff and Canmore. This is the Bow River along the Banff Springs Golf Course (I believe that's the clubhouse in the top centre of the photo). The path of the almost frozen river through the snow was fascinating:

Wow, hiking that much sounds really nice, I live in the Appalachain range and I love to hike, not as much as you obviously, but still. Do you live in Canada or are you just there right now? Canada would be fun =)
I get to live in Canada. ;-) It's beautiful here and I'm very lucky to live so close to the Rockies.
I've been reading a lot about the Appalachian mountains lately... I'd love to hike there, it seems so different varied from the trees and animals we see here. And it looks beautiful.
